## Use facade in context

Facade can describe a building's outward face or an appearance that conceals a different reality. Architecture narration needs visual detail, while character narration may imply deception or emotional protection. The surrounding sentence should establish the intended meaning before the listener has to infer it.

2. His cheerful facade began to slip during the interview.

### A practice cue

Test facade once in the architectural phrase and once in the figurative phrase used by your script. Listen for whether the voice supports the intended scene, and check any accented spelling separately if it appears in your source text.
