01 · Context

## What offline means here

Offline generation means the speech model runs on your computer instead of a remote server. Your script is passed to the local model, the audio is created on your machine, and you export the file yourself.

Murmur still needs the internet for purchase, activation, periodic licence validation, and the first download of optional models. Once Kokoro is installed, ordinary generation does not need a connection.

Private drafts, client copy, and unreleased scripts are not uploaded to a cloud voice service for generation.

For sensitive material, keep the source text and reference clips in a local folder you control, and check the model licence before publishing client work.

05 · Context

## Where the Windows beta stops

The beta does not have projects, a batch queue, community voice browsing, CLI or MCP automation, MDM deployment, M4A export, or automatic updates. Fish S2 Pro is marked Coming soon on Windows.

If you need those features, the Mac app is the fuller tool. If you mainly need private script-to-WAV generation on a PC, the Windows beta covers the core job.
