Murmur Now Works on Intel Macs

Until now, Murmur only ran on Macs with Apple Silicon. If you had an Intel Mac, you could read about it but not use it. That changes today. Murmur 1.0.28 runs on Intel Macs too.

We heard from a lot of people with Intel Macs who wanted a simple way to turn text into natural speech on their own computer. Many of those Macs still work great. You should not need a new computer just to make a voiceover.

The same Murmur. Nothing is cut down or held back.

How to get it

Go to murmurtts.com and click the download button. The site checks which kind of Mac you have and gives you the right version. If it guesses wrong, there is a link right under the button for the other one.

Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it says Chip and Apple M1, M2, M3 or newer, you have Apple Silicon. If it mentions Intel, you have an Intel Mac. Murmur needs macOS 15 or later on either one.

Already using Murmur?

Nothing changes for you. If you have a licence and you also own an Intel Mac, you can use Murmur there too, within your licence's Mac limit.
