Use forte in context

Forte can refer to a person's particular strength and also appears as a musical direction. Those uses deserve their own context and pronunciation reference, since a voice may handle them differently. Narration should state whether it is discussing ability or instructing a musical performance before relying on the word.

  1. Detailed character work is her forte.
  2. The score marks the entrance forte to contrast with the earlier passage.
